CARPE DIEM
be aware, be informed, be moved
“When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
“God is our refuge!” What a tremendous consolation! Life’s challenges are on every side… in our families, our work, our relationships even with this current ebola and ISIS threat, we the people of God can take refuge in Him. The act of taking refuge in Him does not function like a talisman that wards off bad things from happening, rather our refuge in Him is about the strong confidence we have that His Spirit ignites us with – His peace, His call and His view of life.
Paul agrees: “Our life is hidden with Christ in God!” What does this mean? It means we are inserted into reality, not hidden from it, seizing every opportunity for His purposes: CARPE DIEM! When David’s world seemed to be caving in on all sides (Ps 11:3), he cried out, “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” He reminds us: 1)God is still on the throne, 2) That we will see Him and 3) He takes action and wins in the end!
To seize the day you must take three important steps: 1) be aware; 2) be informed; 3) and be moved. This update serves to make you aware of what is going on, to inform you as to what is possible, to allow your hearts to be moved with His heart and to take action by joining hands with us.
CMI’s “Heart to Go” initiative, presents an opportunity to be involved through prayer and empowering action. Some practical examples are through donating air miles for flights, bake sales, car washes and on and on the list can go. One donor sold some stock and donated the proceeds to the ministry.
Be creative with us in seeing His empowering releases for reaching this generation in Europe. Thanks for taking hands with us!
Together in Him with you!

On a Personal Note… After an action packed year, we are taking this fall to reconnect and share the exciting vision and strategies of what is coming in 2015. We are also looking forward to spending time with our family in Kansas City in November. We are so missing Halle and Sophia, our two wonderful granddaughters! While in KC, Jim will be lecturing at “The Culture House” and also working on his book project. We are hoping to connect with you during this time if not in person then by phone. Please call or Facebook us. We look so forward to hearing from you! USA Phone: 901 605 3652 (till Dec. 16th)
Project Newborn: THE BALKAN BRIDGE… Over the last three years we have observed how God is establishing a bridge from central and northern Europe into the heart of Kosovo. International artists and leaders are traversing this bridge bringing healing and hope to this war ravaged nation. Also, key Kosovo leaders, artists, and future leaders will be traversing this bridge for encouragement and mentoring. This bridge also exist to raise awareness and awaken intercessors for this nation “hanging in the balance.”
Finland: LIFE 2014… Each year at our Finnish arts Camp – LIFE happens! Lives are renewed and restored…in short lives are forever changed! In the mornings, we journeyed through the narrative of John’s Gospel! Our aim remained the same … enable a new generation to grasp the power and beauty of His redemption along with the scope of His rule over all of life! Through classical and modern dance, acting and musical theater, sports and horseback riding, photography, music and the media arts, and even culinary arts – kids learned about LIFE in Him! Each artist-teacher was hand-picked because their vision of life is much larger than their art. This was evident on the night of ministry as kids lined up for personal prayer. The work of the Holy Spirit was visible as tears flowed as the artists prayed with their students and joy erupted as God was revealing His reality and love for these kids! There is always a new generation washing up on the shores of Finland at our Life camps. Be a part of 2015! Join in prayer and investing in the next generation for Jesus!
IMAGINE! Helsinki… IMAGINE God’s artists standing strong in God, sowing seeds of life through their art throughout Finland! Our IMAGINE Helsinki was about articulating His beauty and truth. Finnish Artists were refreshed and empowered through mature advocates speaking on the expediency of our times demanding Christian presence in the arts, keeping the eternal perspective, the work of the Holy Spirit in the works of artists, the grace to express the seemingly inexpressible and more. Dr Jim spoke on “A new breed of servant artists on the horizon!” God’s Holy Spirit was visibly at work in the hearts of thirsty artists seeking to find their way in serving God!
Thanks for joining us in prayer and giving, for you are a part of all we do!
